About Us
Carrying On
Founded in 1774 by Henry Smith, the farm has weathered many historical events over the last 250 years. Currently managed by the 8th generation Andy Smith and his wife Kim, the focus is on providing premium Angus beef with superior marbling, ribeye, and tenderness.

John Henry Smith, the 7th generation to farm the land, is still actively involved in farming while sharing his valuable knowledge of the farm's history. Learn more about the history of the farm HERE.

Our Values
We prioritize harmony with our ecosystem and compassion for our animals and our team - operating with integrity and space for a life well-lived.
Our Vision
Smithfield Farms is a professional and values-driven business that enables high-value personal time, supporting the well-being and relationships of its owners. We are connected to nature, pursue excellence in all we do, and intentionally fill our tanks while embracing abundance.

We define professional as operating with clarity, accountability, and respect—for people, land, and time. Our business functions smoothly in the owners’ absence through effective systems, empowered employees, and clear decision-making processes. This structure allows for consistent time off, reflection, self-improvement, and exploration beyond the farm—through travel, community, and personal interests.

We create meaningful, fulfilling roles for employees who share in the mission and vision of the farm. Healthy boundaries and transparent communication foster family harmony and alignment with landowners. A thoughtful succession plan provides stability and freedom for all generations, ensuring seamless transitions and a shared sense of purpose. Our enterprises work in harmony with nature, improving the ecosystem and leaving the land better than we found it.

We are an active part of a thriving community. We provide a space and place for education while operating enterprises that support the well-being of others. We place a high priority on learning and encourage personal and professional growth with on and off farm events.
