Historical Legal Documents of Douglas Hutcheson Smith

Douglas Hutcheson Smith (aka Uncle Doug) represented the Pocahontas Mine in the early 1900s. His legal career was cut short by his death at the young age of 30. He was also heavily involved in state politics, as was his father, who was present but uninjured when the Virginia State Senate floor collapsed in 1870. We have recently been going through Doug's legal documents and hope you will enjoy the history as much as we have been.
